"Oh, what's in a name?"
...'Izakaya' is Japanese for 'pub/tavern'.
The 'Hi' means 'fire'- specifically, controlled fire (such as a cooking fire or campfire). Traditionally, Izakaya's serve "whatever the owner feels like"- this is why you see everything from traditional Japanese and Korean dishes, to fusion options, to random creations!

We opened Izakaya Hi on August 1, 2018. Owned by Sean and John, the two had been working in the industry for over 20 years together before partnering to open this fantastic local spot!

Their goal was to provide a place for locals to really feel at home, but also a place to have a fantastic time- great prices, lots of drink selections, and amazing food.
