I have been working in the electrical field since I was a teenager. At age 30 I decided it was time to start on my own. Took some night classes to learn all the legal aspects of being a contractor and took the State Examination and became an Electrical Contractor in February of 1985. I named the company Interwest Electric after a communication company (Interwest Communications) in Denver, CO
