About the Business

We opened our first ramen shop called "Ramen Bar Ichi" in Houston, TX in 2016. Thanks to the success we had there, we decided to expand our authentic Japanese ramen to the San Antonio community, and in September of 2019, we opened Hero's Ramen x Sushi. We wanted to share our love for ramen by providing the most delicious ramen possible for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.

We also decided to begin serving sushi at Hero's Ramen x Sushi (hence the name) utilizing our access to the freshest fish on the market. We pride ourselves in serving sushi of the highest quality.

We specialize in making authentic Japanese ramen and Sushi. We make our ramen broth from scratch using traditional Japanese techniques fused with 21st century technology. This results in a truly flavorful and umami packed broth, without being overly heavy. Most ramen shops in the U.S. do not make their broths from scratch and instead use pre-made broth supplied from vendors, and then season the broth to their standards. It is the extra effort we take to make a true Japanese ramen broth which sets us apart from other ramen shops. We also serve fresh sushi bowls and sushi rolls, a variety of Japanese Otsumami (appetizers), Izakaya style sides, fried dishes, and rice bowls for you to enjoy a wide array of delicious Japanese favorites. No need to fly to Japan when you have us nearby! :)
