About the Business

Todd installed his first Solatube Daylighting Systems in his own home in 2006 to brighten his home office and the garage. Working long hours from home under the Solatube system, Todd recognized how beneficial natural daylight was and how effective the Solatube Daylighting System was at delivering it from sunup to sundown.

So in 2010, after several years of personal experience with the Solatube Daylighting System, Todd and his wife's family founded Capital City Daylighting.

The Indow interior thermal and acoustic window inserts were added to their product offerings in 2013 to help Ohioans increase the energy efficiency of their windows and homes without the high cost of replacement windows.

In 2015, Todd took over and restructured the company as Green Home Ohio. This change enhanced operations and also allowed for more energy efficient products to be offered to Ohioans in the future.

All staff have been trained and certified by Solatube specifically on the proper and efficient installation of their products. We carry only the industry-leading Solatube Daylighting System (also referred to as solartubes, sun tunnels, sun tubes, and tubular skylights), Solar Star solar attic fans, and the Solatube Whole House Fan. Typical installations take only about 2 hours. We provide a 5-year installation / workmanship guarantee when we install your Solatube product(s). Solatube products come with a 5- / 10-year manufacturer's warranty. Green Home Ohio also supplies the premier Solatube Daylighting Systems and Solar Star solar attic fans to contractors and homeowners who want to install the Solatube products themselves. We are a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business with an A rating.
