There is no physical evidence of Charlie Chaplin staying at the hotel, however, Charlie Chaplin has made 5 appearances in Winnipeg between 1911 and 1913. Considering the fact that Garrick Hotel was built in 1906, during Charlie's visits Garrick Hotel would have been one of the newer, trendier hotels in town, there for we can assume that if he didn't stay here, he most likly had a few drinks (or more) at the Garrick Hotel bar.
