About the Business

Riding with you since 2002. Freeride Boardshop has been selling the top brand names in the snowboard and skateboard industry since the beginning. It is owned and operated by Rob Burnett. Rob is a passionate snowboarder and skateboarder. The shop began as one location in Penticton and has now grown to two locations and an online store. The second location on Kelowna's west side opened in 2006 and recently moved to a new location in the Okanagan Lake Shopping Centre.

During the winter months Freeride Boardshop specializes in snowboards, outerwear, gloves, goggles, skateboards, footwear, as well as men's, women's and youth apparel. We also tune your snowboards and install and fit snowboard bindings and boots. In the spring and summer we specialize in skateboards, longboards, wakeboards, footwear including sandals, sunglasses, boardshorts, and women's swimwear. In the fall we specialize in all the back to school products such as backpacks, shoes, jeans, hoodies, hats, Saxx underwear, and t-shirts.

Rob is a passionate snowboarder and skateboarder.  He's been skating and snowboarding for over 30 years, and is now teaching his children the sports that he loves.  In the 90's Rob was the provincial wakeboard champion in Saskatchewan for a few years.  It was during this time that he realized his passion for boardsports and decided follow this passion to the retail side of things.
