About the Business

The original "Frankie's Sports Bar and Grill" opened in the summer of 2000 on McKinney Avenue in the Uptown District of Dallas. New ownership in 2003 quickly elevated its status to the top sports bar in the metroplex. Though closed in June 2013, it reopened as "Frankie's Downtown" on Main Street in August 2015. Originally billed as an upscale sports bar, it still has all the ingredients required to fulfill that role, but also brings another dimension to the area as "Downtown's Living Room". Patrons are made to feel welcome whether they're wearing a team jersey or a coat and tie.

Bill completed a 20 year career as a U.S. Army Blackhawk pilot.  Johnnie worked in every facet of banking for over 20 years.  The couple, married over 30 years, combined their talents and efforts to build some of the most popular bars in the DFW area.
