About the Business
In the 1950's, George Jensen owned the land on which the Folsom Boulevard Flea sits. Mr. Jensen was a large landholder in the area and ran a hops drying facility "Green Barn", which stands today and is occupied by merchants. Hops were then sold to the area's local breweries. In early 1963, Mr. Jensen decided that it would be a good idea to get to better know the community so he invited people to set up tables in what is now the parking lot area to sell unwanted items from their garage and house. In 1964 Mr. Jenson sold the land to Emil Magovac, Sr., who was a local businessman. Mr. Magovac later sold half the business to Mr. Charles Maroosis.

By expanding her business as part of the Folsom Blvd. Flea Market family in 2010 she increased her business to include retail sales. Selling vintage, antiques, furniture and current fashions. She recognized the potential and opportunity to reach thousands of customers on the weekends and closed her retail store front location, that was open six days a week. This allowed her free time to put all of her creativity and gifts to work. Over the years Carla has added additional services to her business to include business consulting,small business development & coaching, graphic design and a photo studio. She encourages other small business owners and entrepreneurs to explore the opportunities of selling at Folsom Blvd. Flea Market. This open air marketplace, community of vendors and low overhead, is a great fit to expand, start or develop the business you have always imagined.
