About the Business

We're part of the Continental Automotive Group, a family-run, locally owned and operated collection of dealerships serving drivers from Austin, Round Rock, San Marcos, Cedar Park, and Leander since the 1960s.

The Continental Automotive Group first started selling Honda vehicles in 1971 and was the first dealership in Texas to do so. At the time, Honda was mostly known for their motorcycle sales, but the Continental Automotive Group and First Texas Honda introduced Texas drivers to classic Honda cars like the Civic and the Accord.

In September 2012, First Texas Honda moved into there new home off Mopac at Steck Avenue and Shoal Creek Blvd. At 120,000 square feet, the new facility is the largest Honda dealership in the United States and includes a showroom large enough to showcase 100 new and pre-owned Honda vehicles, in addition to the hundreds of cars that can be displayed on the inventory lots.

Allen C. (Manager)

Allen Clauss comes to us as our General Manager after 15 years elsewhere within the company. Since 2000 with our team, Allen leads by example and is living proof that you can be straightforward and honest in the car business and still be successful. Born in Los Angeles in the back seat of a Chevy, Allen feels at home around cars. He is a San Diego State University Aztec and has been living in Austin since 1993. His first job in the auto business was at a Honda store in California, so this is his career coming full circle.
