About the Business

Miguel Cruz, proud native of Mexico City, DF Mexico, arrived in Minnesota in 1984. After a illustrious career in fine dining in various restaurants such as Santorini's Taverna, Gianni's Steakhouse and most recently Oceannaire Seafood Room; Miguel wanted to strike out on his own. Utilizing his background as a professional server, Miguel decided to open El Taco Riendo.

El Taco Riendo is the culmination of many dreams becoming a reality of having a place to make his food, his way, at his price point and bringing a piece of his homeland to the local community. He brings a love of country and food to Northeast a community which welcomes many other ethnic and small business owners like himself.

Miguel Cruz is joined by a lovely staff of six, Jose, Felipe, Chantal, Carlos, Adalit and Basilio.
