About the Business

Eco-Movers was created in 2009 with a specific mission: To reduce the waste created in the moving industry while providing our customers with an exceptionally high standard of customer service. As a college undergraduate at the University of Washington I studied Ecology and Conservation because I have always had a deep appreciation of the world around us and how plants and animals and us humans interact. Throughout my days at the University of Washington I worked for a few local moving companies to support myself. In each of my experiences with other companies I saw the same thing: excessive waste and poor customer service skills of my fellow coworkers. I knew there was a better way. After I had gained extensive experience in the restaurant industry managing four restaurants I decided it was time for me to start my own business, Eco-Movers. After over 4 years in business we have done thousands of jobs and have managed to recycle 90% of what was once considered "waste."

Hi! My name is Grant and I am the owner of Eco-Movers. I started Eco-Movers in 2009 with one objective in mind:  to give our customers a wonderful moving experience while reducing the inevitable stress that goes hand in hand when you are moving. Not only do we strive to provide our customers with the best in customer service, but we are also dedicated to promoting reduction and reuse from the waste created in the moving industry. Having studied Ecology and Conservation at the University of Washington, local sustainability is a great concern to me and our company.
