Curly Hair Studio was started in 2011 by owner Rachel Hoang. Rachel's passion for curly and wavy hair started with watching her sister struggle with her own curls. Rachel knew there had to be more to offer then just basic education for curls. She set off the learn all she could, including the world known Deva Curl method. After mastering curl cutting and coloring she gathered all those around to share and teach these amazing techniques to form an amazing team of curly artists.

Rachel has always had a passion for hair and beauty. Even in junior high she would try and cut and color friends hair and her own. Rachel attended Sherman Kendall Academy in 2007-2008. After finishing school she got the opportunity to go to her first Curly hair class. Inspired by her own wavy hair and seeing her sister struggle in the past with her thick curly hair, Rachel knew it was important to find out more about curly hair.
