Far West Rodeo opened it's doors on March 31, 1998 with Tracy Lawrence as the entertainment for the night. Far West Rodeo later merged with Cowboys Dancehall to create the top entertainment complex in the state! We are one of the top entertainment venues in the city with our giant dance floor, rodeo arena, mechanical bull and live country western music every night!

Cowboys Dancehall is the premier honkytonk experience in Texas. And when people say everything is bigger in Texas, we take it to heart! The sprawling 70,000 square foot entertainment venue offers a huge dance floor fit for two-steppin', an indoor rodeo arena for live bull riding and cage fights, seven bars and a mechanical bull. You won't find anything that comes close in San Antonio. The expansive venue is also available for private parties and includes entertainment, facility rental, beverage service and preferred caterers. With two levels, two dance floors and a 20,000 square foot indoor bull riding arena, the options are endless. We can also accommodate any of your multi-media needs. Our eight theater-sized screens and twenty 42" LCD monitors are just the beginning of what our in-house professional staff can offer you and your guests. The facility is open for private events Sunday, Monday and Tuesday all day and Wednesday - Saturday until 7pm when we open to the general public for normal business hours. Cowboys Dancehall is open to the public Wednesday - Saturday at 7pm - 2am featuring live entertainment by Mat Slovacek, Nikki Horner and the Sunset Riders.
