Concrete Bar is located on Cable Car Lane. Welly's famous cable car is historic, scenic and a convenient mode of public transport, making Cable Car Lane a really dynamic place with our corporate and business neighbours, tourists and suburban residents all part of the local mix of regulars.
Stoneham building is a listed heritage site, with a very interesting history and many uses over the years; it has been a bar for the last 24 years, albeit under different names and owners. We have recently discovered the original plans and drawings of the building. Our neighbours Woolf Photography are another Wellington institution on the lane.

Concrete Bar is a hidden gem, right in the heart of Wellington's CBD. Tucked away on Cable Car Lane our relaxed atmosphere, great range of drinks, cocktails, delicious food and good service makes for a perfect city retreat and function venue. We are popular with local corporates for lunch, sociable after work drinks and dinner. On sunny days our balcony is the best spot to escape the office, soak up a few rays and watch the world going by below on Lambton Quay. Our restaurant interior is a unique fusion of comfortable urban and offers a warm and relaxed space to meet, socialise and even host private functions. We have some weekly rituals that are always appreciated. Happy hours 4-6pm Monday- Friday Cocktail Thursdays cocktails $10
