CMD Automotive was started in 1995 by Jim Gorman. As this Charlotte based auto repair and maintenance business grew, Dwight Patterson came on board as a partner.
A total of 7 more staff members have been added to keep up with the growing business. CMD employs only the best technicians with ASE certified credentials which is critical for quality car care and repair. We take great pride in our work and are committed to the highest quality workmanship.
Jim and Dwight are both working partners, in the shop everyday to ensure quality repairs and great customer service! Your car is in great hands at CMD!

Jim is married with two kids, and has been working in the automotive repair industry for 23 years. He opened CMD Automotive in 1995 and has been a working partner ever since. Jim is an ASE Re-Certified Master Automotive Technician. He also is a certified MIG and TIG welder, is certified in anti-theft systems as well as a locksmith, and holds a certification in Advanced Fuel Systems. He also has a Federal Air frame and Power plant License, and is a factory certified BMW technician. Jim's vast experience means your car will be well taken care of at CMD, giving you the confidence you should find in an auto repair shop.
