About the Business

Antonella Biefeni began her journey into healthier hair styling when she was a partner at Clover Salon in Vancouver. Clover was the first salon to become truly environmentally conscious, choosing products that were as clean and chemically-reduced as possible in this industry. With this experience, Antonella decided to go it alone and was able to build Citrus Hair Salon with the same principals of creating an environment that is healthier for both clients and staff. Starting off in a 750 square foot salon on Hamilton Street in Yaletown, Citrus was able to expand two years later and is now situated on Mainland Street in 1400 square feet and more than double the staff. Along with a mission to reduce toxins, staff are chosen for their skills in everything hair, for their customer service standards and their amazing personalities.

She moved from commissioned salons, to chair rental, to partnerships in a couple of other salons before starting her own in Yaletown. With a clear vision to create an environment that is healthier for clients, staff and the earth, Citrus Hair Salon was born in 2010.
