Cigar City Brewing came in 3rd place in the "Top 10 Breweries 2016" category in the 2016 United States Open Beer Championship in which nearly 4,000 beers were entered from around the globe. Up from the #5 position in the 2015 Championship.

Cigar City Brewing's Hunahpu's Imperial Stout - Double Barrel Aged is currently ranked the 11th best beer in the world according to RateBeer.com (as of July 2016).

Cigar City Brewing was rated the "#3 Best Brewery in the World" by RateBeer.com in 2010's Ratebeer's Best Awards; and then the #"4 Best Brewery in the World" in 2011's polling of 10,000+ breweries.

The first commercial batches of Cigar City beer were released into the Tampa Bay marketplace in March 2009. The total year-end production was around 1,000 barrels of beer in 2009 -- 2016 projections are thought to be in excess of 65,000 barrels.

Since its founding, Cigar City Brewing has been dedicated to creating beers we like to drink and toasting those who choose to drink with us.
