About the Business

The owners, Matt and Teri Haymer, have always appreciated good food and had a desire to open a place where hospitality and quality were presented in an affordable, welcoming atmosphere. Teri had some culinary training in San Francisco and Italy but chose a path in the corporate world until the time was right to pursue her real passion, cooking, food and wine. This cafe has exceeded their expectations and they hope to continue to grow it and bring new and exciting food and wine to Central Square. We are excited to expand to our new space at 612 Main with more seating and expanded dinner menu to come!

Cafe Luna specializes in breakfast and brunch, specialty sandwiches, large salads , mac and cheese and roasted chicken using the freshest ingredients. We have a hand picked and affordable wine list plus cordials and beer on tap. We serve 40 Weight Coffee and espresso exclusively. Join us for a coffee pairing with a selection of liqueurs and cordials. On the weekends, our "famous" brunch menu includes a "French Toast Fantasy" with things like S'Mores, Nutella Banana, and Lemon Blueberry. Our specialties include home made corned beef hash, lobster eggs benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes. Reservations for brunch are recommended.

A life long cook and corporate food marketing professional, I made the decision ten years ago to leave corporate life and open a cafe/restaurant that would provide superior customer service and top quality food in a casual, neighborhood establishment. We found Luna and fell in love with the location and Central Sq. A true family business, Matt is the front of the house during Brunch, and my son Alex is the General Manager and one of the cooks and my younger son Justin is a server on the week ends. We are joined by a host of enthusiastic and talented employees.
