About the Business

We are a husband and wife team in love with simple, authentic Mexican food. We opened BONE GARDEN CANTINA in a tiny, secret location to offer some of the more traditional Mexican dishes we enjoyed while growing up in Southern California. The food is a little different than what a lot of people are used to, but if you go out of your way to find us, we assume you're looking for something a little different. We're not trying to please everyone. Just that special group of people who truly appreciate what we offer.

Don't expect a combo plate here - Bone Garden Cantina features a fresh-from-scratch, a la carte menu of authentic Mexican cuisine including soft corn tacos, quesadillas, burritos, tamales, tortas, enchiladas, sopes, empanadas and authentic side dishes, salads and salsas. This is not "Americanized" Mexican food. We also serve a comprehensive list of cocktails including dozens of specialty margaritas, Mexican beers and more, and we feature a selection of over 40 high-quality tequilas. The restaurant is filled with sculptures and paintings of playful skeletons, sugar skulls and Mexican folk art. This design is inspired by the Mexican holiday, Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, which commemorates the ancient Mexican belief that the souls of departed loved ones return to eat, drink and be merry with the living.
