About the Business

established in 2001 body evolution studio started out on 2nd ave between 13th and 14th street and was on the 2nd floor above building number 221, soon afterwards the studio took up the whole floor and also opened an annex in the back yard. As time went on the business grew and after 8 years there was a need for a larger more accessible space. In 2009 the studio was moved to a larger spot at 266 east 10th street between 1st ave and ave ave a. next door to the famous landmark russian bath house.
10th street was already known for health seekers with the russian bath house, a raw food restaurant, a organic juice bar and a skin care center already on the block, so body evolution fit right in with the feel of the area. People seem to travel back and forth across the street taking care of thier health needs.

Owner Billy Macagnone is one of only 16 Authorized Master Trainers in the Gyrotonic System and his teachers are an example of the integrity of the work in all its facets. The friendly atmosphere at the studio welcomes all, professional movers, dancers, athletes as well as the elderly or anyone interested in the joy that comes with having a non-restricted fluid body.
