About the Business

Named after one of Boston's first European settlers, Blackstone's of Beacon Hill has been an integral part of the community for over 40 years. In 1982, Blackstone's was founded at 46 Charles Street in historic Beacon Hill with a product selection of home goods and gifts. In 2006, business partners Jennifer Hill and Mark Duffield purchased the store and expanded the product assortment to include seasonal and exclusive offerings. In 2010, Jennifer and Jim Hill opened KitchenWares by Blackstones (successor to KitchenArts) on Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay, extending the brand to include cooking ware and cutlery. In 2013, they expanded the portfolio to include a store focused on tabletop goods and home décor, they opened Reflections, next door to KitchenWares on Newbury Street. In 2020, the team consolidated locations and product lines into the Beacon Hill location on Charles Street. And, in 2021, Blackstone's moved into its current storefront at 40 Charles Street.
