About the Business
Founded over 150 years ago by the City of San Diego, Balboa Park hosted the 1915 Panama-California Exposition in celebration of the opening of the Panama Canal, and the California Pacific International Exposition in 1935. Today the park is the nation's largest urban cultural park at 1200 acres, and includes 17 museums, several performing arts venues, the San Diego Zoo, multiple gardens, recreation centers and more. Truly an urban oasis in downtown San Diego.
