About the Business

Atlas was started by my grandfather in 1908. He was a mechanical engineer who moved to California from Minnesota. He was an inventor who has many patents relating to furnaces. At one time Atlas was the largest manufacturer of furnaces in the United States. We have installed over 100,000 furnaces in the Bay Area. My children are now operating the company and, I believe, have the same passion for providing, excellent service and quality installations. We hope to remain "Your Warm Friend" for generations to come.

We fix and install all brands and ages of heating and cooling systems. We sell electronic air cleaners. We do duct cleaning. We are the company to call for furnace and A/C maintenance. Contractors: we do residential and light commercial work.We make and custom sheet metal and architectural fabrication to your specificatoins We are a licensed contractor with family values and experience. Hugh Tuck, - Hugh has a BS Degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  He joined Atlas Heating and Ventilating in 1972 as a service technician and worked in that position for 5 years. He managed the service department for 3 years. Subsequent to that he worked as an estimator/project designer and then  principal in charge. Atlas Heating installs approximately 500 furnaces per year.
