About the Business

In 1950, Andrew Robicsek, a Hungarian immigrant, founded a one-man remodeling and handyman service in Charlotte, NC. Two years after starting the company, Roby (Robicsek changed his name) hired Glenn Haston as Superintendent. The two would work together for more than 25 years, establishing the growing organization's reputation. In 1976, Haston bought the firm outright and today, the second and third generations of Haston's extended family work for the company. Now, more than 68 years later, Andrew Roby General Contractor is the largest custom residential remodeler in the Charlotte region and has expanded to Boone, NC.

Andrew Roby General Contractor is the origin of the Roby Family of Companies. The Roby Family of Companies' umbrella has grown to include Roby Electric; Roby Commercial; Roby Handyman; Robycross, Roby Realty and W.H. Hobbs Plumbing, LLC.
