It all started in the early 1980s...two typewriter technicians left their jobs at IBM, each to take a chance at starting a business on their own.  Joseph decided to call his new company " A M Business Machines", partly due to this mother's initials (Angelina M), and partly because it would land his company in the first few pages of the phone book (remember relying on those??).  Glenn also left the comfort of a corporate job around the same time and formed his company, "Exclusive Business Machines".  They had known each other from IBM and eventually decided to merge their two companies and in 1986 "A M Exclusive Business Machines, Inc." was born!
