About the Business

About 30 years ago, John David Fischer moved his family to Houston to escape the recession in Illinois. After several unsuccessful attempts, Mr. Fisher was left with a furniture delivery truck and a stack of bills. Making the most of what little he had, Fischer started moving furniture at age 50 to get his family by. He quickly developed a reputation for being fair and his business grew through referrals. He began 3 Men Movers with a single truck, two helpers and operated the company from the dining room. It was truly a family business. Mr. Fischer retired in 2003, leaving his daughter Jacky Noons at the helm. Today, the company has grown to be one of the largest independent residential movers in the nation. 3 Men Movers is now operating in all major Texas cities with over 100 employees and over 60 moving trucks.

Jacky Noons, company owner and CEO. After attending college at HCC, she transferred to U of H studying design, architecture and construction. Jacky received her MBA from Rice in Houston TX. Her business career started in real estate development and management. In 2003, she returned to assist with the family moving company in Texas. Shortly thereafter, she purchased 3 Men Movers from her father. Jacky is currently the sole owner and CEO. 3 Men Movers has shown a dramatic increase in growth under her leadership.
